IODE Ottawa Primary Chapters - A History
There were already four chapters in existence in Ottawa when IODE Ottawa Municipal Chapter received its Charter in 1918. IODE Laurentian Chapter (1906), IODE Magdeleine de Vercheres Chapter (1915), IODE Colonel By Chapter (1918) and IODE Disraeli Chapter (1918).

IODE Laurentian Chapter - received its Charter in 1906; Lady Sybil Grey was the first Regent - STILL ACTIVE as of 2015!
IODE Magdeleine de Vercheres Chapter - received its Charter in 1915; Mme. T. Chase Casgrain was the first Regent; disbanded in 1972.
IODE Colonel By Chapter - received its Charter in 1918; Mrs. T.A. Ross was the first Regent; disbanded in 1969.
IODE Disraeli Chapter - received its Charter in 1918; disbanded in 1931.
IODE Falkland Chapter - received it's charter in 1919; Mrs N.C. Smillie was the first Regent; disbanded in 1973.
IODE Lorraine Chapter - received its Charter in 1919; Mrs. (Christina) Pepper was the first Regent; STILL ACTIVE as of 2015!
IODE Philemon Wright Chapter (Hull, Quebec) - received its Charter in 1917, but came under the jurisdiction of IODE Ottawa Municipal Chapter in 1920 bringing with it a staggering 150 members. They changed to Quebec jurisdiction in 1925 after the Ontario Provincial Annual General Meeting. Upon leaving they were made an honorary Chapter of IODE Ottawa Municipal.

IODE Iroquet Chapter - received its Charter in 19XX; disbanded in 1954.
IODE Memorial Silver Cross Chapter - received its Charter in 1929; Miss Mary McCullough was the first Regent; disbanded in 1997.
IODE Elizabeth Tudor Chapter - received its Charter in 1929; Charlotte Whitton was the first Regent; disbanded in 1968.
IODE Lady Perley Chapter - received its Charter in 1935; Miss Morna Peters was the first Regent; disbanded in 19XX.
IODE Silver Jubilee Chapter - received its Charter in 1935; Mrs. (Elsie) Budge was the first Regent; disbanded in 1971.
IODE Countess of Ashburnham - received its Charter in 1935; Miss Ethel Plant was the first Regent; disbanded in 1983.
IODE Lord Dundonald Chapter - received its Charter in 1937; Mrs. K. Broadfoot was the first Regent; disbanded in 2013.

IODE Earnscliffe Chapter - received its Charter in 1939; Mrs. V.K. Winsby was the first Regent; disbanded in 19XX.

IODE Wing Commander Guy Gibson V.C. Junior Chapter - received its Charter in 1944; attained full Primary Chapter status in 1948; Miss E.M Morphy was the first Regent (President); disbanded in 2005.
